Red & Gold Waistcoats
These two waistcoats were inspired by a visit to the Arts and Crafts house Rodmarton Manor near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
The red one is based on the two painted coffers in the hall painted by Louise Powell for the owners, the Biddulph family. The scalloped edges echo the edges on the furniture.
The gold one is based on a pair of brass wall sconces designed by Norman Jewson, craftsman, to be found in the dining room. The fritillary are made from gold paper string, opened flat and then molded onto a 3D shape.
